Short story a little longer: My name is Marenda and I’m the founder and chief content creator around here. We (since I’m lugging my husband into this glass house) started VOICE inFertility because it’s a cathartic means of honoring God and helping others. But more specifically, after a sudden unexpected plunge into the infertility microcosm, I found almost every resource and online support group to be too somber for me. I get it, baby-making hurdles aren’t dinner table chatter (even though they should be, really). But my God. Literally, MY GOD, is there no joy left in life?
ABOUT US
My husband and I got married in July of 2018. Within our first year of marriage, amid finding a groove with cohabitation, adjusting to blended family life — I’m a stepmom which is enough for a whole site on its own — and traveling through the South Pacific, South America and Europe, we also lost three pregnancies.
Three. Human babies. Gone.
You think anyone knew about the that? Nuh uh. How’s that for a highlights reel?
Of course, I cried (and I am NOT a crier). Of course, I was a mess the second time. And after the third time, I barely wanted my husband to breathe on me during my fertile window. We began seeing a fertility specialist after the second loss because clearly something was wrong.
For those who know me in real life, this whole fertility, motherhood (yikes) platform is gonna come as quite a shock since (spoiler alert) I dooooooon’t really like kids. Nor was I ever attached to the idea of birthing any. BUT….hold on…don’t leave…but that makes me an intentionally crafted and effective infertility ambassador. The goal is to empower fellow infertility kin and supporters to use their own voices. But in the meantime, I was designed to be a mouthpiece until we’re all strong enough to do so. Plus, now that I have three angel babies, I think I’d actually be pretty good at it. You know…don’t make me say it…the parent thing.

ABOUT VOICE
Infertility, as any long-term hardship, becomes more a battle of mindset than a healing of the physical condition. We won’t allow our minds to be taken. We’re also fans of fun and sarcasm so while I tried to keep it pretty business in the front here, it’s more party in the back once you hit the blogs and articles.
The mission of VOICE inFertility is to empower infertility warriors and supporters to speak louder, sooner and brighter about infertility.
- SPEAK LOUDER: To normalize infertility by just talking about it boldly and more often. Infertility is a common, diagnosed medical condition that shouldn’t still be shrouded in secrecy or shame.
- SPEAK SOONER: To encourage women to take an earlier and more assertive interest in their reproductive health by talking to doctors and their spouses earlier rather than later.
- SPEAK BRIGHTER: To demonstrate how the light of the world struts through great challenges with power, gratitude, optimism and peace. To remember that with God, all things are possible.
